About Alla

I always found myself curious about people's struggle to accept themselves fully and find compassion and dignity without being so focused on results and performance. I was curious about it because I felt this pressure for as long as I can remember. I was self aware enough to understand what was happening to me and what I was carrying was a projection of my family and those around me, but it took me a long time to be able to change my narrative of myself.

It was clear that being a therapist working with individuals who experience chronic family and relationship stress, romantic issues, parenting issues, generalized or social anxiety, perfectionism, and grief and loss would become my specialties'.  My approach to treatment is  person centered, relational, and trauma informed . This means that I am skilled in zoning into your emotions as we explore the behavior, beliefs and desired relief so we can do repair work at the deepest level to make the change long lasting.

I  was trained in a variety of modalities including CBT,   existential modalities,  psychodynamic modalities, ACT,  Narrative therapy, and I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist (CCPT-I) and I am a certified Gottman Level 1 and 2 therapist. In my experience, I believe that pulling from these orientations is an effective approach. However, the most important component in therapy is the therapeutic relationship between you and your therapist-me!
